A Report On Trade Fair 2024
The historical Pune city which is regarded as the cultural capital of India is hosting the mega “Pune Book Festival” from 16 Dec. 2023 to 24 Dec. 2023 at Fegusson College on behest of National Book Trust of India, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, State Govt. of Maharashtra, and Pune Municipal Corporation. As part of this various events have been organized in consonant with it, the citizens of Pune are being calling upon to take part in ‘Symbolic Book Reading Activity’ named as ‘Shantata Punekar Vachat Aahet’ on 14th of Dec. 2023 at 12 PM where they should spare one hour from their busy schedule to read the book and enlist their solidarity with noble cause. The NSS volunteers of Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s College of Commerce have registered their participation in the event by organizing the book reading activity on 14th Dec at College Library where more than 50 students and staff members took an active participation and register their support.
The Department of Commerce had organized a Trade Fair on Tuesday,16th January 2024 from 10.00am to 1.30 pm in the college premises. In order to celebrate the cultural diversity and experience the culinary delicacies of India, the theme of the event was kept as “ Flavours of India”. The objective of organizing the event was to create a platform for the students to show their entrepreneurial, marketing skills and also to make use of digital payments. Students displayed an array of stalls like food delicacies of our country, entertaining games and merchandise. The event was meticulously planned and executed by the student volunteers. Students from various departments such as B.Com, M.Com, BBA, BBA(IB), BBA(CA), B.Sc(CS) had participated in the event. In all 18 groups participated in the Trade Fair and the total count of students went up to 182. The event received an overwhelming response from the students, teaching and non teaching staff members of various departments. Students gave positive feedback for organizing such events in future.
