Report on Guest Lecture on ITR Filing
A guest lecture on “How to file IT returns?” by CA Sukanya Halyal was organized on Friday, 19th
Jan 2024 at 08:00 AM in lecture hall No.3 for all T.Y.B.Com students.
The objective of the guest lecture was to develop a broad understanding about the types of
Income Tax returns and other basic concepts of Income tax.
The speaker of the session started by connecting with students through basic questions
related to income tax law in India such as type of income, residential status, person, etc. She
mainly focused on types of Income Tax return (ITR) forms along with the eligible assessee
for each type of ITR form.
The Resource person also showed a live ITR login and filing process through Income Tax
login. The guest lecture was very informative and the students were active throughout the
lecture. The informal feedback received from 101 students was positive and encouraging.
