Placement Report 2015-2016
Training and Placement cell of the institute is largely responsible and committed to the identification and catering to the need of training the students so that they are able to develop all round personality; and assist them to find right jobs and help them place in right companies before they pass out. We realize that in order to convert a student in to employable candidate, several behavioral attributes need to be addressed in addition to the development of various skills. Some of the behavioral attributes are good communication skills, developing positive attitude towards work, understanding of moral and ethical values; to ensuring that students are aware of local and global economic scenario, like global warming, food and agriculture, population explosion, health and safety issues; to industrial and R&D trends, prediction of future technologies etc. A blend of different skills and the essential technical training makes them an ideal candidate suitable for employment and service to the nation.
Training and Placement cell is active and working hard to address behavioral issues and over all personality development; and finding job opportunities with reputed national and international organizations.
The mark of success for an institution is to assist its students in achieving their dreams of successful career in a challenging and ever-diversifying industry. The institute has once again proven its status as one of the best college in Pune city with the recently concluded final placement process for a batch that comprised of more than 206 students. Despite the uncertain economic environment, MMCC, Pune has maintained its strong hold among Commerce College across the Pune city , as an impressive number of 30 companies chose from the best talent, making final offers and pushing the average domestic salary to Rs. 2.35 Lac per annum.
The activities of the cell include collecting the database of the students and compiling them for use when needed. The cell facilitates the students to improve their skills to face various competitive exams such as civil service exams conducted by UPSC and MPSC. The Cell organizes training programmes, seminars and meetings to encourage the students to plan their career path. The Cell, as per the guidelines of the UGC, provides information on job queries and placements in different institutions.
The Placement Cell organizes workshops for informing students about emerging trends and events. It also aims promotion of discipline, healthy outlook and positive attitude towards national integration and removal of narrow provincial preferences and prejudices among students. Above all, the main function of the cell is to invite reputed companies to the campus to conduct campus interviews and find suitable jobs for the skills and talent available among the students.
We commenced with the Campus Recruitment Programme with great enthusiasm as the students count increased exponentially from the previous year prior to the placement week. We witnessed a highly commendable figure of 20 Companies that offered are Aditya Birla Group, Mphasis , TCS India, Green Peace Pvt. Ltd., Capgemini India Pvt. Ltd., Cummins India Ltd., Samson India, Ricoh India Ltd. DCB BANK, METRO CASH AND CARRY PVT LTD, SAKAL PVT Ltd., Godrej Industries Ltd. and Associated Companies, L & T India Pvt. Ltd., ICICI Bank Ltd., ITC Ltd., Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, MAN POWER Limited, Reliance Industries Limited, Tata Motors Limited, ACCENTURE ., CONCENTRIC PVT Ltd., ABP MAJHA Ltd., Wipro Ltd., etc.
