Report On Cleanliness Drive At Arai Tekadi

In a commendable effort to foster a cleaner and healthier environment, 62 students from Student Development Cell have taken the lead in organizing a cleanliness drive at Tekadi. The initiative aimed to address local cleanliness issues, instil a sense of responsibility among residents.
The primary objective of the cleanliness drive was to address immediate cleanliness issues within Tekadi. Students focused on cleaning up Tekadi area to enhance the overall hygiene and aesthetics of the locality. Armed with cleaning supplies, students meticulously cleaned up areas identified as hotspots for littering. The campaign included the removal of trash, plastics and the proper disposal of waste in designated bins.
The awareness programs played a pivotal role in instigating behavioural change. Residents now show increased awareness of the importance of proper waste disposal and are more likely to adopt sustainable practices.
Asst. Prof. Snehal Borkar (Student Development Officer) and Dr. Sandeep Anpat have organised the Drive. Dr. Punam Shinde and Asst. Prof. Pankaj Ghorpade have guided the students and took care of maintaining discipline during the Drive. Principal Dr. Devidas Golhar sir also visited the Drive and motivated the students for such social activities.
