The Department of Commerce started in 1986 with the objective of catering young aspirants. From a few hundred students in 1986 the Commerce stream has grown by leaps and bounds and at present there are five divisions of F.Y.B.com. B.Com. is a three-year undergraduate full time course spread over six semesters, which confers a graduate degree to the student. The department offers Master’s in Commerce and PG Diploma (Advanced Course in Banking Finance and Insurance).
The Department is focused on the overall development of the students through proper education and exposure to the varied fields of Commerce and Management. The department offers a holistic and robust learning environment with a unique combination of curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular activities for student development.
Activities like seminars, competitions, career guidance sessions, Industrial visits are arranged throughout the year. Students are encouraged to participate in various curricular and extracurricular activities. Students are performing remarkably well in academics, sports and cultural activities. Eminent personalities and experts in various fields visit us to guide students.

Eligibility Criteria for B. Com :-
The students who have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination administered by the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education Board or an equivalent exam, or have completed English as a required course at a university, in order to be admitted to the First Year of the B.Com. Degree Course (2024 pattern). OR Three Years Diploma Course from Board of Technical Education, conducted by Government of Maharashtra or its equivalent, after S.S.C. i.e. 10thStandard. OR Two Years Diploma Course in Pharmacy from Board of Technical Education, conducted by Government of Maharashtra or its equivalent, after H.S.C. i.e. 12th Standard. OR Completed MCVC program
Eligibility Criteria for M. Com :-
The student who has passed any Bachelor’s degree of this University or any other recognized University shall be held eligible to be admitted to M.Com. Course.
