Marathwada Mitramandal, Pune is a Public Charitable Trust registered under Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 under Registration No. F-338 P dated 19th Jan1967. It was established in 1967 by Hon. Late Shankarraoji Chavan, Former Home Minister, Govt. of India as the “Founder President” and followed by Hon. Late Vilasraoji Deshmukh, Former Union Minister, Govt. Of India.
The trust had started its activity with the objective of providing hostel facility in Pune to the economically underprivileged students from the Marathwada region of Maharashtra. It is established through the inspiration of socially and educationally charged personalities, with motto “Yethe Bahutanche Hit” (Welfare of Masses). Mass education, co-education and dedication towards overall development of the region are watchwords of the trust.
In the year 1985 , it started a commerce college. In the decade of the 90’s and in the current decade, Marathwada Mitra Mandal has made rapid strides, making it one of the premier diversified groups of educational institutions situated in four independent campuses, all in Pune City and suburbs. These campuses are located at Deccan, Karve Nagar, Lohegaon & Kalewadi.
The trust has created excellent facilities of education in various fields of education such as Management, Law, Commerce, Pharmacy, Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, etc. which provide excellent education to more than 12000 students.
