As per the guidelines of Savitribai Phule Pune University, our college celebrated the Marathi Bhasha Samvardhan Pandhrawda for 15 days from 14/01/2021 to 28/01/2021. Under this quality initiative to create awareness and appreciation of regional language, the department organized competitions like ‘Katha-Kathan’,‘Kavya Vachan’, ‘Nibandh Lekhan’ and ‘Boli Bhasha Sadarikaran’ for the students. Thirty students participated in the events. Eminent speakers enthralled the audience with their language skills. Prof. Vijay Kakde, Vidya Pratishthan, Baramati conducted a session on ‘Katha-Kathan’ that demonstrated the skills and techniques of storytelling. In his narration of two stories, he showcased oratory skills, voice intonation and the importance of punctuation. Prof Swamiraj Bhise, Cultural Coordinator, SPPU; conducted a session on ‘Marathi Bhasha Ugam Ani Pravas’ that encompassed the history of language. He concluded on a promissory note that the youth has become more expressive on regional language through social media.
